About
My story is a long one; so here is a condensed version. I was born on May 16, 1982 three months ahead of schedule. The doctors told my parents not to waste a name on me because I would probably die. My parents named me anyway :). In 1985 my brother was born on May 12th; crazy huh? We moved from Kinston to Whiteville in 86. I started school at Columbus Christian Academy. In first grade Mrs. McChollock led me to Christ. My early years in school were quite normal things got weird arround my 9th grade year. In my high school years I dropped into a depression. I began to turn away from God; by my 10th grade year I was an atheist. I had attempted scuicide twice and nothing could convince me that I was wrong about the existence and love of God. I had started playing the bass and found out that a few friends of mine (Daniel Walters, Jonathan Cigary) were trying to start a band and they wanted a bass player. Well I fell right into place. The story of the band is for another day. The point is, Christ used the band to bring me back to Him. I later quit the band to persue my education. I studied physics at UNCW. Once I finished college I went and taught for a year at CCA (the school I graduated from). It was an interesting experience and I believe that God used it to touch my life. I am currently the youth minister for The Dwelling Place Community Church. It is one of the greatest things I have ever done.
